I've memorized the film version and gotten the soundtrack, and I have seen it one Broadway with Brent Spiner and Gregg Edelmen and gotten that soundtrack as well. I highly recomen seeing it, I was in the last row and it still blew me away! I was on the edge of my seat even though I knew what would happen. I have been utterly in LOVE with this movie since the age of 8, when I first saw it one 4th of July. It has never lost its charm. I'm a William Daniels fan (though I've followed the careers of most of the others) and a true John Adams fan...anyone like to read about him historically? Interesting side note: Always wondered why TV shows produced by Bruce Paltrow seemed to have people who were in 1776 in starring roles (i.e., White Shadow: Ken Howard, St. Elsewhere: Daniels, Tattinger's: Blythe Danner, Northern Exposure: John Cullum). T en recently I learned Blythe Danner is married to Bruce Paltrow (and yes, they're Gwyneth's parents!!) I'm an avid video collector and was fortunate to stumble on a copy of the widescreen Pioneer Special Edition Laserdisc version of the movie which includes 40+ minutes not incl ded in the standard release including "Cool Considerate Men".
