From original Playbill: Paul Hecht won wide critical acclaim last season as The Player in Tom Stoppard's prize-winning play, Rosecrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Previously, he had created the role of John Ken O'Dunc in the controversial off-Broadway hit, Macbird. For the New York Shakespeare Festival, he performed the title role of Henry V, and Clarence in Richard III. Off-Broadway he was in Serjeant Musgrave's Dance. Mr. Hecht received his early training at the National Theatre School in his native Canada where he worked extensively for the CBC and the National Film Board, and appeared with Zoe Caldwell in Mother Courage at the Manitoba Theatre Center.
