From original Playbill: Betty Buckley is making her Broadway debut in 1776. Miss Buckley has performed in nightclubs in Texas and Michigan; she also performed for former President and Mrs. Lyndon Johnson and was the featured television entertainer on the 1967 Miss America Pageant and as Miss Fort Worth was runner-up to Miss Texas in 1966.
